Hi! Welcome to my blog! I’m Brenda the author of my page Imperfection in a Pinterest World. What are you going to read here? I’m just a girl writing about my not so perfect life in a world of social media snapshots and the desire for perfection. A little about family, love, heartache, infertility, and the world around me.

I’m married to an amazing guy for almost 2 years! We found each other a little later in life than what my story book plan had but I couldn’t ask for someone better. John Ryan is my rock and we absolutely bring balance to each others lives. Some of this blog will dive into our infertility journey together and how it has affected our lives and the lives of our family who rally around us. We are still in the midst of our journey and I hope to share that with you as well.

What else should you know about me? I wear boots…a lot…almost every day. I have 14 pairs taking up the entire closet floor. I love Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies. I love movies, historical fiction books and movies from books. I recently have an obsession with stories from early Europe. Could be my binge watching of Outlander…Sam Hueghen anyone… as of late but really I just love history. I was a high school teacher for 9 years and when I couldn’t afford to pay my bills anymore from the measly teachers salary I was getting I had to do something else. So here I am in corporate America for who knows how long. What else?? I love family. I have a great one and we love spending time together. I enjoy spending time with my friends and trying a new recipe now and then. My head is always spinning with new ideas of things to try or careers I want to have in the future. If you’re still reading this THANK YOU!!! You have survived my tendency to ramble. I really just want to give people a glimpse into the real life of someone that isn’t picture perfect and know that it’s okay.
